Hello from Lake Chelan Washington
Hello All,
I'm new here, but not new to Jeeps or internet forums. I live in Chelan Washington, thus the user name NCWJK as is North Central Washington JK. Lake Chelan is on the dry side of Washington between the base of the Cascades and the Columbia River.
Never hear of it? That's okay, but if you have eaten cherries or apples, chances are you have eaten some from here. 1000's and 1000's of acres of them.
Other hobbies? Motorcycles, I have a KTM 1190 Adventure R, and a Ducati Sport Classic 1000, as well as a few vintage rides. I also have a Comanche and my wife drives a Commander. My Jeep is a 2008 JKUR, bought new in '08 that now has almost 40K miles on it. I have taken many off road trips, including finding our way across most of the USA from East to West on dirt roads.
My current project is installing a Teraflex long arm pre-runner kit. Previously I had Rock Krawler 2.5 coils and their adjustable arms. All my steering stuff is Synergy, 315/70/17 Cooper AT3's on American Racing Mojave teflon wheels.
I have always done my own work. Because of my profession, helicopter mechanic, I am too picky to let anyone wrench on my stuff. It has to be done my way or not at all. This sometimes make maintaining our commuter vehicles a PITA because I can't even trust anyone to change my oil for me, and then when I do it, it takes 2 days because of all the other things I find that need my attention. Yes, a little OCD.
I look forward to participating on JK Forum.
David
