Hello from Fresno first time Jeep owner!
My 16 year old son thought Jeeps were cool so I started looking on Craigslist. They were slightly out out the price range for him...but not necessarily for me. Long story short I gave him my 2006 Hummer H3 (which was paid for) and bought myself a 2007 Rubicon 2 door with many upgrades and 32K miles. Needless to say we were both thrilled! I have been having fun upgrading and modifying this and that thanks to lots of great ideas from you guys. I am preparing for our first off-road adventure outside of Shaver Lake next weekend with some seasoned veterans. I think it is gong to be a blast. Recently took off the doors and was on a mission to find a Harley side view mirror to rig to the hinge on my door. With some rubber tube wrapped around the short stem Harley mirror I found at a local motorcycle salvage yard worked great...absolutely no wobble and really works as a side view mirror. I also rigged a cool rack using a pre-existing hitch above the spare. Almost ready to go!
