Hello from Birmingham, AL
What's up? My name is David and I live in Birmingham, AL. My buddy referred me to this site because I'm about to sell my current car and purchase my first Jeep. I'm about 90% sure my car is sold and now I'm just waiting on the buyer to get me the money. I'm planning to get a 2011 Wrangler Sport in Mango Tango Pearl. I've found about four that I'm looking at, all pretty similar (24S Package +/- some options here and there). As soon as I've got the money from my buyer I'm heading to the dealership to pick up my new toy.
Here's my current car, a 2004 Nissan 350Z that I've had since September 2006. Prior to this one I had a 2003, so I've been in a 350Z for going on 8 years. Going to a Wrangler is going to be a big change, but I'm looking forward to it and hope to learn as much as about Wranglers as I have about the 350Z.
If anyone has got advice to offer when it comes to purchasing a Wrangler, shoot me a PM. I don't think there are any rebates or incentives going on currently, at least in my area.

I just heard from my potential buyer and he couldn't get financed, so I've got to sit tight until I can get the Z sold

David, one thing to think about before you make your purchase, is how do you want to build your jeep up. And in if your not planning on running tires over 35'' and don't plan on doing a hole lot of off roading then a rubicon you be great for you, yeah it cost alitte more up front but you would be happer with it in the long run I think. But now if your planning on building something up with 37" 40" tires something big, then I would suggest buying the cheapest thing you can get your hands on, because your looking at changing out axels and all kinds of other stuff. Just some things to keep in mind.

I thought I should update the thread with pics of the Jeep and some of the things I've bought so far...nothing major, just some random things here and there.
