welcome to the forum!!! if you can work on your own stuff i say go with the X and build that puppy up yourself.! if not then get then get the rubi!

FWIW...

I was contemplating getting something other than the Rubi, but I got a good deal...

Now I KNOW If I hadn't gotten the Rubi, i'd be kicking myself..

Most people go through the same decision...Buy the X and build it or get the Rubi and wheel it. Depends on finances and your patience I went with the Rubi for the Lockers and the 4:10 gears. You have to buy it and drive it so good luck with your decision.

thanks guys! I got my eye on a X, white, ac (sad that that is an option), 3.73 gears, 6-speed. It is 18,100 out the door. Do dealerships go lower then employee pricing and incentives? I am not sure if I am going to wheel it like a dog, but I do want a slight lift and tires. Keep you guys updated.

It really depends on your intended uses. I was originally planning on getting a 6 speed Sahara because thats all I really need. However, due to the extra employee EP incentives at the time, and the fact that our Jeep store had a 6 speed Rubicon in stock that fit exactly what I was looking for, I was able to get a Rubicon for the same price as the Sahara I was considering. I do not regret my decision at all and now that I'm considering moving out west I think I'll appreciate the extra capability the Rubicon offers. I was a little worried about how the M/Ts would do in the rain, but so far they've been great. Plus, the Rubicon will hold is value better and its cooler.

I also like having the 4.10 gearing and that'll be nice if I upgrade to 33s, like I plan on, when these wear out.
