Glad to be back in the family
As the name implies, I just picked up my 5th. I'll be driving her for the next year or so while my 15 yo kiddo learns the ropes. Gotta do something about these washed out looking fenders!
Looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully connect with other NTX Jeepers for info on clubs and wheeling opportunities.

Welcome!... I know a lot of people swear by "back to black" by mecguire's I think? For me... I just have not fought with mine much... occasionally I'll spray some water on a rag and scrub them a bit...but they never really come clean.

Welcome. I'm just outside the 820 loop in Willow Park, so not far away. Looks like a jeep that has been cared for. I've used Back to Black in the past. I think it works ok, but it just doesn't last. There are members that swear by the paint additive Penetrol which can be purchased at HD or Lowes in the paint section --
I have a can of it that I've meant to use on some interior trim but have never gotten around to it.....so it sits on the shelf reminding me.
If you cared to change the fenders, I have a brand new set of plastic flat fenders I'd sell cheap. They are basically Bushwacker knock offs and look like this -
A neighbor ordered them and didn't end up using em. I did a lot of helping their kid with his jeep along the way and took those as a small payment for my time when they moved away. I'm not trying to push a sale but throwing em out there since you are so close. Not sure they fit your idea of where your jeep build is going or not. No harm no foul either way. I'm tired of looking at the box in my garage.
What other jeeps are in your arsenal? Hopefully in the year you're driving this you work out any kinks. I'd urge you to upgrade a few steering components along the way. I'm a father myself and I get concerned seeing kids drive these things sometimes, especially when lifted with big tires, but even stock jeeps experience wobble issues when steering components start to crap out.
Anyhow, feel free to hit me up if you find yourself needing help with anything. North Texas Jeep Club is probably the biggest one in the area if you are into that sort of thing. "club life" isn't quite my gig.
