Hey all, figgured I would get the whole first post thing out of the way.
I recently bought a "New To Me" 2010 JKU out of necesity. The 97 XJ crapped out finally, and I couldnt see myself buying another beater I didnt want. To me the choice was obvious, the $$$ part was in a state where I could get what I wanted, and I really just wanted something better than a old bucket of Cherokee that had more miles than it takes to get to the moon on the clock.
The JKU is a base SPORT model, 6 speed, with virtualy no options minus the hard top, and AC. The previous owner took the liberty of adding most of a Rubicon Express 2.5" lift, leaving the track bar relocater and brake line relocation brackets off. I'm really not too worried about fixing that right now, because I got out of the hard core wheelin stuff a while back. Though I will be changing the wheels, tires, fenders, bumpers, and stuff, I doubt I will be doing much more than back woods camp trails in this Jeep.
All the serious wheelin I have done was done in my old Samurai (Currently on Craigslist in Denver) which I just built as I went up in skill and broke stuff. It was a fun ride getting that little buggy to where it was, but I have other projects taking higher priority.
I also have a '05 MINI Cooper S, that is pretty much a track only car with a licence plate saying I can have it on the street. It is currently in need of a engine rebuild though, due to a spun rod bearing. Having another car payment, and wanting to do some stuff to the Jeep is going to push that back a little longer though, $12,000 for a built MINI motor isnt easy to come by in the first place so it can wait.
Eh... That's enough about me for now, I'm going to get back to scoping out the forum. See you guys around.

So I rarely ever even come on the forum, but see a ton of JK's around town. I've done some work to my Jeep throughout the summer months, and am calling it done for now. I have to switch my focus back to getting my MINI rebuilt, and thats going to take a lot of $$$.
The Jeep is good enough for what I do...

Oh and the latest addition...
It was a Rugged ridge light bar, but the lights would have set up way too high, so I built a drop down extension with marker lights, for the 8" KC pro sports. They only sit 4" past the windshield frame now, and is lowered down to the AS1 line so its legal.
