Finally posting up, from Colorado
Hey all! I've been registered on here since 2008, have done a lot of searching and reading and dreaming about a JK!
I live in Grand Junction, CO... about 90 min from Moab and 2 hrs from the San Juan mountains! I started a Utah-based 4x4 forum 15 yrs ago and usually don't stray too far from there, but figured I better get more active on the good JK sites for more access to JK-specific info!
My last Jeep was a TJ that I bought as a basketcase, swapped a GM 5.3, TH350 and Atlas with 60's. I used a TeraFlex LJ long arm suspension with 3" coils and 40" Maxxis tires. It was a hardcore crawler and was insanely capable and stable. I ended up selling it about a year after finishing the build after getting laid off.
Fast forward to this Spring and I picked up a '12 JKUR. I'll post my build thread about it, but I am very excited about where it's headed. It's not going to be anywhere near as hardcore as the TJ as my trips are more long distance these days, but it's still plenty of fun.
