Talking Expecting JK in ~ 3-5 weeks :D

Well,

There's a 4 door JK on the way.

Its for the wife.......she went offroading a while back and liked it....so its going to get some dirt...

I plan to modify it only very slightly, as she's a newbie, and, well, I spent most of the mod $ on me already...

So I'm thinking of maybe a Teraflex 2.5 spacer lift, and a 1.25" JKS or a 2" BL if they make it for the JK 4 dr, so some decent rubber can go on there.

Didn't have the $ for the Rubi......so its just an X model, manual tranny (She HATES automatics...).

Any words of wisdom/advice?

I'd stay away from the BL and just get a cheaper lift. Look into the FullTraction 3" economy lift. It's a great way to start. The Teraflex BB might do enough for your needs though. Once you get it in, post and there should be plenty of advice..lots of people have done exactly what you're planning to do.

Welcome!

I was thinking 2.5" Spacer lift, as I won't have any drivetrain mods, as the 4 door's shafts are longer, etc.....and with a 2" BL, 35's should fit, maybe even 37's, as as far as the tires would know, I'd have a 4.5" lift.

So, it comes with little tires, maybe 29's or something....so 37's would give me another 4" of diff clearance/total lift alone.......plus the 2.5 from the SL, that's 6.5" of frame ground clearance improvement....with the BL just giving tire room, getting body parts out of the way, etc.

I tend to find that the SL's do not give as much tire room leeway, as the tires still compress up to the same point with or w/o a SL, they just have further to go to get up there.........

But the BL's give definite tire room for uptravel....w/o needing uptravel robbing bupstop extensions.
