Engine Swap
Hello everyone im new in this stuff so i have the following situation:
I own a 2013 jeep wrangler which im trying to swap the engine for a LS3 engine i've been looking for installation kits but the are expensive(5k dlls) i was wondering if some of you have don this before to a similar jeep or can help me with some information. I am worried about the harness because i want everything working on the jeep dashboard.
Thanks everyone

Welcome.... I know that the engine swap kits are pretty complete... I have also read engine swap stories that ended in disaster because computer systems from different auto makers don't talk well. That is a lot of what you pay for in the swap kits... the research that helps all of the stuff all work together. It is a pretty complicated install to get it all to work right.
Although if a person wanted to gut their Jeep...install a 350 in it without any computer stuff the primitive framework can be purchased and installed (in some states) more for a buggy type build? Many other systems would need to be redone to work with the old tech... so settle in your mind that it will not be simple of inexpensive... and if you have the personal ability to program the antilock brake system from Crysler with Chevy... it might be easy enough to do the whole swap, most of us don't! Even those kits are challenge enough to get them to work and keep working... you might need your own tech for a year or two to keep getting the bugs out... or a trunk monkey! I think this is why some settle for a supercharger... or something that is more "bolt on"... the money involved will be significant! But it would be Fun to have! Motech in LAsVegas does them "turn-key" - that might be an option- they have a ton of experience!
