Ello ello ello !!
I've posted a few Xs already but figured I'd go ahead and intro myself to you formally. My name is Chris and I'm a Jeepaholic. I don't have my JK yet, but should be picking up a Rescue Green Unlmtd X this week. (just have to finish the legalities). I will tell you that I have a bad addicition to never leaving 'well enough' alone. I already have a 2 or 2.5" lift in mind as well as something nice and 'floaty' around 33". I'll also go ahead and admit that my wife will be driving this daily and I'll be stuck in my XJ until the weekends come 'round. Here's a little history of what I've done in the past 10 years.
In July 1996, I was strolling by a Jeep dealership and noticed the start of something beautiful. It was a Citron Green Pearlcoat Wrangler SE. It was the VERY 1ST TJ to hit our area and I was numero uno to get one. About 3 weeks later, it was on 30X11.50 Thornbirds and soon found it's way growing to a total height of 5.5" up and sporting 33" BFG ATs. It also had all the chrom do-dads like the gas filler, grill inserts, step bars, and bumper covers ( hey... I was young!! haha).
Well... I sold it cause I had a kid on the way but you can't keep a Jeeper down. So in 2001, I bought the LEMON. It was a yellar TJ SE and I bought it already 'G'd up. I'll put it politely and say it was at the dealership more than in my possesion.
You'll start to notice a trend here...
After getting disgusted with ol' yellar, I went postal. Bought myself a CAR!!! (good lord what was I thinking). That didn't last long. So when the itch came around again, I picked up an '89 YJ 4cyl (see the trend?) that was instantly transformed into the 3rd in a generation of beach based builds.
After wasting a 4cyl and stoopidly replacing it with another, I lost interest and searched for MORE HP!! I found it in the form of my current daily stroller, a 96 XJ 'coupe'. It was also bone stock at purchase and now sits 4.5" up on 31" MTZs.
It's been a fun ride and I'm still going to be in it daily, but when we saw the Rescue Green JK online about a year ago, I knew it had all come full circle. A family sized Jeep in the correct color! I'll post pics as soon as I get 'er home and put some miles on 'er !!!

IT'S OFFICIAL !!
Just finished signing my life away on a Rescue Green Unlimited with a soft top and it is now sitting in my driveway in all it's glory. It was pretty basic. Only options added were the 7 speaker sound system and floor mats (oh... and the locking gas cap). I can't believe ho plush the damn thing rides compared to every other Jeep I've owned (incl my XJ). The wife is gonna let me drive it to work tomorrow then she said HANDS OFF till the weekend. Hahaha... gotta love Jeep women !!!
