Hail from east Texas. I bought my 2008 black JK unlimited X several months ago. First Jeep I have owned. It's pretty much stock still, as I am a poor college kid. Hoping to get some decent mods on it soon, because I have scoured this forum and other places and I really want to give my Jeep some character. I look forward to learning a lot from this forum about everything Jeep related.

Congratulations and welcome! Great choice BTW. We all started somewhere and for most off us that was stock. Post up some pics

Welcome Rev! You are close enough that you ought to head up to Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area just outside Gilmer. Plenty of nice trails for your stock JK and lots of fun! Loads of fun both on and off the trails. My wife and I are in ours every evening going somewhere. In fact, we were over in Tyler yesterday in our Stone White 4-door Rubicon. Great times!
