Thought I start here, I have been doing lots of reading, thank goodness for this place and ideas. now if I get some time to do some of them. Picked up the Jk in Dec its an 08 unlimited x in silver, to date with about 2000m on here and so far not a problem. The poor jeep sits covered at a port in the gulf awaiting my return 6 weeks on not so many off nowadays. I hope to change that with summer rolling around and get with some local jeeps on the weekends back around Dallas Tx. This is my 2nd jeep and the first one brought me way to much fun and enjoy and i have never recovered till now. I had not planed on getting another jeep, but the Z-71 trany went out and I need a way to work, so I headed to the dealer to look at some new 1 tons, I walked around the lot but could not find what I really wanted but found something to settle on, and the girl friend was there giving me her thoughts, as we sat down to do the numbers, they did the old back and forth thing about 2 and I was getting tried and started walking around the show room. they had the 1 Jk on the whole place inside of all places. It was a 6 speed soft top and I went and started playing in it and the girlfriend saw the way I was looking at it. I saw her looking at me so I got down, walked over and thats when she said you really like the jeep, I said yes alot, next words floored me then "get one". The saleman came back and told him deal off I need a jeep. Took him 2 days to get what I wanted, but havent been happier. I am back to jeep'n. Had a few nice days the last time I was at home doors off, tops off hard top, in about 30 min, the GF jumped in and then she wont let me back in, so I have created a monster now. She hooked and understands now. Hope to learn more hands on and maybe add .02 on somethings.
