Bunch Of problems, not sure whats wrong, please advise
Recently I got a significant amount of water into my gas tank. We proceeded to drain the fuel system including the gas tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, cleared the cylinders, and replaced the spark plugs. However once this happened the check engine light came on, the error code said the crankshaft positioning sensor had gone bad. After replacing the part the error code did not go away, and the motor ran rough with a misfire in the 6th cylinder. We got the misfire in #6 "fixed". However the check engine light was still on. I checked the error code again and it said the camshaft sensor had gone bad. After replacing that the motor loses power at 3,000 RPM's and it will not exceed 3,500 RPM's, and it takes forever to turn over. I do not believe that the starter or the battery is having an issue. We have tried to reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for 8 hours, and grounding the battery for 30 sec, turning the ignition on, cycling the headlights, and turning the ignition off. I have read that this process should erase all the adaptive memory for the car. I have also read that the Adaptive memory will take time to..well..adapt. I have read that I might have to drive up to 500 miles for it to be fully adapted. Any advice is helpful
Thank you so much,
Ben

Post the codes you have.
The codes don't actually say the sensors have gone bad. They indicate there is a problem, but replacing the sensor is pretty far down the list of possible causes.
What do you mean by "...grounding the battery for 30 sec"?

I read on the Forum that if you disconnect the positive battery cable and connect that cable to a ground then turning on the ignition, cycling the headlights, and turning off the ignition. I have read that process will reset the temporary adaptive memory and hopefully solve a part of the problem.
