Hi to everyone. I have a 2013 Wrangler Sahara with the auto dimming mirror. Now the spot lights on the mirror stay on all the time while I'm driving, and they will go off when I turn of ignition. Any suggestions!

 

Welcome to JKF.. Good group here - your issue is intriguing - I have not experienced such and any suggestions would be a guess.

 

Do you have LED lights in your middle dome light? This is the one time I can say I've seen this in my own '13 jeep. For some reason my '13 CAN bus did NOT like me putting an LED bulb in that middle dome light and the reaction was the map lights on my review mirror stayed on constantly when the jeep was on. My buddies with '14s use the exact same LED bulb in their dome light and had no issues whatsoever. The jeep didn't seem to care if the rear dome light was LED or not.

If this is the case with your situation, I'd either go back to a normal bulb in the dome light, or try a more CAN bus compliant LED.

 

Ty guy, I did install LED bulbs in my 2013, and it has been happening since. Ty you gave the answer I was looking for

 

I just went back to the factory bulbs in the dome lights myself, so I'm not sure if one of the pricier CAN bus compliant lights work better or not. I do know that they exist. Always found that strange that some little thing in the CAN bus related to that changed from '13 to '14 as all my buddies weren't having that issue. I only tried it cuz they had extra bulbs and gave me a couple. When it didn't work I wasn't out anything.

 

That's funny cuz the bulbs I bought are CAN error free. But I will go back to regular bulbs, it's annoying seeing the map lights on all the time.The LED bulbs apparently do not comply with the 2013 Wrangler Can bus. TY
