Somewhat new to Jeeps other than maintenance and the occasional off road trip in my girlfriend's former 2000 TJ Sahara. However, I am no stranger to playing the mods game, but in the past focused on my Mustangs. A couple of days ago we decided to take the plunge and traded in the Sahara for a 2010 Unlimited Sport S package (we also decided to put on our grown up undies and get a 4 door to have at least one "family" car). I must say that her excitement has become contagious and we both have the mod bug. I look forward to learning from people here and hopefully having a great time in the new Jeep.

Thank you. Lots of good info on this board. I think near future plans include what seem to be the standard newbie mods....2" lift kit and wheels/tires. Most of our off roading has been at the beach or the muddy greenbelts in the area, so we probably need to do some more trail blazing before going further than that to help see what we need next. Plus, I also need to find some winning lottery numbers.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on buying the best color available. There are several folks on here from Austin. Hopefully we'll all get together for a run (or even a beer) soon.
