3.6 jk problem I have codes...
Hey everyone. I am a new member. I have to apologize in advance for the long post, but I’m trying to give all the detail to get some help. i have a 2015 Jeep jku. The engine and transmission as completely stock. Not so much as a tune (Just calibrated for my axle and tires size). My suspension and axles on the other hand...hahaha.
I fixed the issue below but think it may have something to do with what I’m experiencing now. I went off roading. It got a little wet, not submerged or anything. On the way home from the off road park the throttle cut out a couple times and RPM fell to zero. A week or so of it doing this with no consistency at all, it did it and stalled. Finally threw a code. Crank Position Sensor! Woohoo!!! Makes sense. I ca he’s the sensor, it never happened again.
but the very next day after putting about 50 miles on it I get two codes...P2308 and P0303. I know they are bad ionization and ignition coil for cylinder 3....but the timing is VERY STRANGE.
so I reset the computer just to make sure it came back and sure enough...55 miles later...I get the P2308 as a stored code and the. A short time later I get the P0303 as a pending code. The rough running on 5 cylinders is not something it did before the Crank Position sensor code was thrown. And now that I have changed that sensor I am no longer getting that code....but now this one almost instantly pops up.
any ideas? I find it hard to believe that they aren’t related.
Thanks
y’all!
