Default 2013 JK won't start

I have a 2013 Wrangler that I went to start yesterday but wouldn't turn over. The key turns and everything lights up just fine so it doesn't seem to be a battery issue. I did notice a light that I haven't seen before though. It was a red dot above the temperature gauge. I did some research and found that's a security thing that's saying the motor is disabled. So I tried resetting everything by unhooking the battery well that got the light to go away but still won't start. Anyone have some suggestions? Maybe the chip in my key? Also it won't shift out of park and my interior lights wouldn't go off until I pulled the fuse for them. It is an automatic with manual locks btw.
Thank you in advance.

That's a bummer as it's pricey to have the dealer program a key for you. Might be your PCM ( I believe that's the module that controls that stuff ).
