2006 Wrangler X (New Owner) Hampton, VA
Hi!
Name is Krista, caved in and traded my 2013 Taco for a Wrangler! (No regrets)
2006 Wrangler X, Silver, pretty much basic.
Looks like everything, interior wise, is completely stock.
I was recommended this site for valuable information *wink wink*..
And maybe some newbie advice so hopefully I can learn a few things!
The age old question is...what is the first thing.
CB Radio, Tires (not so small but you get the idea), Rocker Bars..?

Krista,
Welcome to the forum. I was greeted graciously earlier so I hope that you get the very same warm welcome. Read through the forum, there is a lot of good info here and from the looks of it, a lot of good people as well.
To answer your question, it all depends on what you intend to do with your Jeep. Tires/axles/gears and lifts are a good start if you dont plan on beating your Jeep up right away. But if you want to go over the rocks id invest in armor first then work your way to a tire/axle/gear setup. CB radios are cool and very useful also usually very cheap to get.
Best of luck on the forum and congrats on your new Jeep!!!

Yeah I was ready to take it out in the mud as soon as I got it.
A friend of mine just told me the same thing. Armor and rocker bars!
For starters I think I'll just play in the dirt till its "terrain worthy" lol
Im scoutin the website now.
Seems kinda dead in the VJK forum. (Virginia)
Same to you too!!
Searching on!

Keep in mine this is the JK forum, for 2007 and newer Wranglers, so you will get some help around here, but probably not as much as say JeepForum or WranglerForum where there are a lot more TJ (97-06) Wrangler owners like yours. Enjoy the new Jeep, I still miss my old yellow 06 sometimes.

Hey, Krista!
That is a nice TJ you have there. I have a 2003 Sport that was *finally* retired from Daily Driver status. So now I can mod it a lot and bang it up more than I normally do. (Heh, heh, heh...)
I just got a JK for Christmas. It is a 2 door Sport S model in black with a 6 speed and I love it. It is probably my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. But my TJ is very close in my preferences. It is not a "nice" as my JK, but it is different in a lot of ways that I like.
If you need help there are a number of good forums for TJs and I can always answer a question of yours (if I actually know the answer, that is). I am sure there are a lot of current and former TJ owners here.
Have fun with your '06 - It is a nice vehicle!
