2 weeks in my first JK

2 weeks in my first JK
I come from more of a hot rod background with my '51 ford truck and '67 BSA chop but 4 wheeling has been in my blood since my first car, a '84 CJ7 Renegade. I was a fool to sell it! Since then I've ridden dirt bikes and other things but never really liked the '90's and early 2000's wranglers.
I've been kicking around the idea of buying a JK for a year or so and when i heard about the improvements to the 2012 I got pretty excited. 2 weeks ago, I brought home a 2012 unlimited sport, hard top, auto, 3.73 gears with the loaded stereo and electronics package. I loved it stock but even before I bought it I knew I wanted a small lift and 33-35's on it.
I found this site about a month ago and researched all the different tire and gear combinations, gas milage, pricing etc. I ended up getting 33x12.50 r17 General Grabber red letters (letters in though), new 17"x8.5" wheels with 4.5" backspace and a ProComp 2.5" Coil lift. All my parts came in on monday (except for my spare) so I had the wheels and tires mounted up. It looked snug but there was no rubbing when driving around town.
Yesterday a bud and me installed the coil lift in about 4 hours and it probably lifted it 3-3.5" and it looks pretty mean now.
I'm really excited with my new jeep and to be a part of the Jeep community again. Can't wait to hit the trails... which might be today.
