My ride is super stiff and rough. Going to have to replace spring and shocks it looks like.

I will guarantee you will always be able to find an obstacle to rub the belly no matter how high the lift. Do you want to build your ride for what you do 99% of the time or for the 1%? The $500 4" lift (pick any brand) will either cost you about 4x the money to fix the poor handling and steering or you will settle for a poor riding jeep that will perform worse then factory in all aspects of on and off road except for the approach, decline, and break over angles.

All of what dirt man says is spot on. My wife was dead set on the Jk we now own, trouble was it came with a Zone 3" which I was skeptical of. Within one year I've replace the shocks, Trackbar and added RE correction bracket (which will be replaced by LCA's). The front springs are already sagging and I'm currently looking for replacements. I wish I would of installed quality components myself and called it good.

I only 1k miles on my zone 3" with BDS nitro shocks. I am going to change to synergy 3" springs. Hopefully that is enough to fix the ride quality. The BDS nitros should do for a daily driver. I already have front bds adjustable track bar and jspec adjustable lower control arms. I hope to add jspec upper rear controls later this year. Our ride is just horrible but a big part if it is the installers and the alignment shop did not do there jobs right. It is going back to alignment for the third time cuz they " didnt know" they could adjust my caster with my adjustable arms. Blah

^Exactly. I bought my Billet JK with a 3 inch zone lift. With the ARB bumpers, winch, armor and full 35" spare. The coils sagged very bad. The shocks were junk also. I ended up replacing with a Rock Krawler 3.5 and Bilsteins. Just my two cents. You can see before and after pics on my profile.

Stick with the entry level 2.5" to 3.5" kits offered by rk, Teraflex, synergy... and build from there you won't be disappointed that way. I looked at zone kits for the 2007 I had and quickly looked elsewhere.

Nuttin wrong with draggin the belly every now and then...why not, instead of going higher, add some armor underneath. Cheaper, easier and more productive.
