Default Is the XRC aluminum fair lead coated?

Is my XRC10 comp aluminum fair lead coated or should I clear coat it myself. Or should I clear it all? I am worried about road salt and grime.

The one I have is uncoated. I will hit it with some mothers when it gets dull and it will look like new again....

I have a can of aluminum clear coat I had when I did my motorcycle rim. I was wondering if i should hit it with that before I put it on. It's only going to be on until my custom one gets finished!
