Default XMAS $$$ for new tires....

So, I happened to convince my good old italian father to pick up the tab on the new rubber I'm gonna get... how I pulled this off? NO IDEA! haha...

Thing is, I currently have a BB of maybe a total lift of 2"...and made the mistake we all make (or should I say most of us) - I got 33's instead of going bigger, haha... I have since then cut my stock flares and have flats, have quicker disco's, etc. The tires I got are absolutely great, wearing so good and have 30k on them and still going strong. A little too strong though, lol, because I have also ordered my AEV 3.5 SC lift kit and it should be here/installed in 2 weeks and I am going to be running most likely a total of 4" lift on my 33's now! I mean, I don't mind because I plan on running them until I NEED new tires (I say that now) but you know how it is, I'm gonna wanna throw on bigger meat ASAP!

Now to the fun part....obviously, 35's the next size up and they don't run true to size. So, 37's are on my mind considering the lift will be more like 4" and I have flats now. I'm well aware of the gearing talk and the MPG talk, gusset & sleeve talk, etc... I'm just looking for some personal insight primarily on TIRES. Duratracs, Rocky Mountains, TerraGrappler, MT Baja's, and the others I missed of course... Just AT's, no MT's....don't care about noise, just looking for tread life...

Pretty much got $2,000 at my disposal...GETCHA PULL!

I think the MT Baja looks the best from your list. I know some folks are only getting 20k to 30k miles out of the MT Baja Claw. I have 41k miles on mine and expect to hit 50k before I replace them. They can wear pretty well if you rotate regularly and watch the pressure. I've been using 28 psi.

The Procomp XTreme AT is really good too I'm sure, but they are pushing like $450 a tire. Do they make the Duratracs in a 37? What has anyone heard about the General Grabber AT?

Even if there is a Mud Terrain that gets atleast 40k I'll be fine with them. How many miles do BFG's get in a 37 though? Aren't MT/R's good too?

They don't make duratracs in 37's. My vote would be for some Nitto Trail Grapplers. I have heard very good reviews on them.

Take a look at Yokahama Geo Landers, I have a set of 35's that measure 34.6. I love these tires, they are M/T but very quite and great road manners. I have ran several Bfg's and Dunlops and I like the Geo's the best.

Love the Mickey thompsons atz on
My f150. Super quiet. Going on close to 20000 miles and more than half tread life left. Great tires and I think they look the best out of all of those.

BFG's or Bridgestone Revo-2 are two great A/T tires.

I may even go with the ProComp XTreme AT on a 35" - They run 34.9" which I think is the closest to a true 35" you can get on the market. I have 33's now and they are/have been wearing great, so I at least know how they will fair. Heavier, bigger size tho = possibly a different outcome...who knows? Either way, I'll have atleast 2-3 months before I pick up new meats so I have a lot of time to do my due diligence and pick what suits me best. Nitto TerraGrapplers have a tread warranty too, any others with warranty's that im neglecting to mention?
