I recently purchased the RR XHD front winch mount Bumper with the hoop. I am really happy with the bumper (while it sat on my garage floor). I really wanted to mount some additional lights as we go to northern WI and the Rocky Mountains in CO every year and it can get really dark out there.
I spent a lot of time looking around the forum for pix of rigs with similar setups. If I had the non-winch setup mounting lights would be snap, but I don't and I like my hoop. So i found a few options. First, RR makes a "strap" that wraps around a variety of size bars and will hold a light. I wasn't impressed, I want to mount 7" HIDs and was not convinced they wouldn't just spin. Second, I saw a few rigs that drilled the hoop and mounted the lights directly to the hoop. Looked good and may have worked but, I plan to have my jeep for a long time and northeast Ohio winters destroy any unprotected metal. I also talked to my local shop and had them look at the hoop and there was concern for how thin the tube walls were and how they would hold up long term. Third, I saw a few rigs with small lights mounted outside the hoop. not an option for 7" lights.
So I was left with finding a custom fix. I had my local shop weld a piece of angle iron to the back of the hoop. For $35 it was cheaper than the RR clamps and it feels bullet proof. I think it may be thicker than the hoop.

After I got the hoop home I measured the lights and drilled the 3 mounting holes with my cordless drill. In addition, I drilled 3 smaller holes closer to the edge for zip ties to hold the wires up out of the way.

Next, I drilled into the hoop under the angle iron to run the wires down (no pic yet). Before drilling the bottom of the hoop to pull the wires I drilled the bumper under where the hoop mounts. I then lined up the hoop and marked the hole with a wax pen and drilled into the bottom of the hoop. I did this to make sure you wouldn't see the wires at this junction.

After drilling all of the holes I took the hoop, bumper and a few other parts to Line-X to get them covered. I will post the rest of the install when I get the parts back.

Looking forward to the rest of the install. I had planned to do the same thing as you to run the wires but I was going to go with the RR mounting straps first. I will probably use 6" fog PIAA or KC lights in the front.

The PSC mount is nice. I plan on running Master Pull synthetic line so I won't have that as an option. Also, I am always concerned about having lights that stick out past the bumper. They just seem more exposed and likely to get smashed. Good luck, I hope it works for you.

Finished up the wiring today. Thought I would up load a few pics of the finished project. The first three are how the wire wrap attached to the bar and where I ran it up into the engine compartment. The last two are just finished shots.
