Xenon or Bushwacker Flat fenders?

I had Xenon fenders for a over a year and painted then with SEM Paints (SEM39853) Texture Coating, Aerosol paint and I have no sagging.I have seen the bushwackers side by side with Xenon and dont see one being much better than the other.Installing the product with the extra support have work great for me,and I like the look of the Xenon and if they get scuff up I just touch up with textured paint.

I had a set on Xenons on my 08. I had the rears start to sag somewhat. I called Xenon and they shipped me a new set of rears out with braces right away. I couldn't be happier with their costumer service.

Xenon does have a limited lifetime warranty. So if you have a set that has sagged, they will send you replacements with new braces.
The reason I liked the Xenons was that they could fold up against a tree or rock and not always damage your body, and they would return back to their original shape.
However, to fix the sagging issue, they came out with hard plexiglass braces, and the braces do not fold. If you hit a tree or rock with them, you will dent your front fender or rear tub. I have a nice dent in my driver rear tub quarter panel as personal experience.
You can experience body damage with the Bushwackers as well, but they are not as rigid as the Xenons are with the hard plexiglass braces.

Don't know about the bushwacker ones but have had the xenon ones for 5 years. Original ones without a brace. Have folded the rear ones multiple times against trees without any body damage. They are cupping ever so slightly in the middle but after 5 years I have no complaints.

I've seen them both and I have the bushwackers on my jeep. IMO the xenon are really wide and look like dumbo ears on a Jk. I know that's not nice but that's what I think when I see my buddy roll up. He is rocking 35's too.

I have a buddy that did do some damage with his Xenon's to his body leaning against a rock but when I leaned the Bushwackers I was running it didn't do any body damage it just crumpled up. Don't take this as anything scientific and we hit two different parts of the body his on the upper tub and mine closer to the lower panel so maybe there's more support who knows. Both can be painted and look great.

Bushwackers are definitely more popular than the Xenons. For me the Xenon's were a no brainer because I got all 4 for $150. If I was going to save up $500+, I'd probably get the Ace because they're steel for the same price.

No plastic fender is going to stop body damage if you hit something hard enough. Both Xenon and Bushwacker are made to flex so they are less likely to break. The drawback to flex, is it increases your chances of body damage.

Only thing I'd add is if you wheel hard things break or will get damaged it's the cost of doing what we do. I've seen Metal Fenders do body damage as well and only thing I think that would truly hold up and prevent body damage is something like Roger (wildnwillin) of Big Bear Off Road has on his daily driver. He's running the EVO Body armor with metal fenders welded to them. Pretty sturdy!
