XD SPY rim help with 25575R17 tires. Offsets and backspacing. HELP before buying.
Bought a used 08 unlimited x. I just want rim replacements, nothing special, just to replace stock and use my stock tires. Pretty much keep it the way it looks stock, but with nicer rims. The stock tires are 25575R17 on OEM rims. They are brand new so I wanted to use them instead of buying new tires. Couple questions:
OEM rims width are 8" right?
What offset should I get? zero? Don't know much about offsets. Dont' want the tires sticking out fenders yet.
Would these work?
XD SPY
Bolt Pattern: 5x127 Rim Width: 9
Hub Bore: 78.3 Rim Diameter: 17
Rim Brand: KMC XD Series Offset: -12
Manufacturer Part Number: XD79779050312N Number of Bolts: 5
Rim Structure: Lifetime
Will these fit an oem 08 jk unlimited x? My current tire size is 255 75 R17
Also, does it matter to get a 8" or 9" rim. If I use 9"..Do I need to get new tires?
These are -12 offset, I think they make these in -18. Any suggestions.

OEM are 7.5" +44mm offset.
I would not recommand going with 9" wheels with 255 tires. 8" should be fine.
Going from +44mm offset wheels to -12mm means a difference of 56mm (44 + 12). 56mm is a bit more than 2 inches. That means your tire would stick out 2" more than what you have with the OEMs wheels
