Which would you get
I will be upgrading to 4.88's and a Detroit Trutrac in the rear axle. My question is. Should I go ahead a save up and get a Trutrac for the front or a winch?
I do not do to much wheelin now, but plan on getting it where it belongs alittle more, which is red sloppy clay or dry power line trails, some snow and summer trips to the beach.
I leaning to a front Trutrac, but was wondering if that is over kill for me.
2011 2dr sport, auto, 3.5 OME HD lift. July will be Coast F/R DS and yokes and rear upper adj. control arms. Next summer tires, dears and trutrac.

Because you won't drive much on ice, I'd put an Aussie locker in the front either now or in the future. This would be preferable to a limited slip in the front and costs less than half as much.
Because you have an automatic, 4.88s are a mistake. You will get better performance and fuel economy with 5.13s due to less frequent downshifting.
And as a result...get a winch instead of the front TrueTrac.

A d30 Aussie is around $250, a d30 TrueTrac is around $375. If you drive on snow/ice, go with the TT up front. If you don't trust a full locker in your d30, go with the TT. If you spend time with tires in the air, the Aussie would be better.
If you choose a TT up front, I would do it at the same time as the gears. It is full case, so you would have to pay extra labor to install it later. If you choose a lunchbox and will be installing yourself, then get the winch and add the front locker later.
I also agree with 5.13's for an auto on 35's.

395 through 4WP/4WD, but my local installer got mine for 375 after tax. Don't know who he ordered from though. The d44 version is up closer to 500 I think.

I would go with a winch, a locker wont pull you out when your stuck. Yes a locker does help for traction so that you have less of a chance getting stuck but eventually you will.
