Looking for some input from the off-roading crowd (focusing on which is going to do more for me in order to go hit some trails) ...

If you could only get one, which would you get (budget constraints you know)?
1) Smittybilt XRC8 Winch (8000 lb)
2) Cobra 75 WX CB Radio & Firestick Firefly 3' Antenna

 

Winch. I'm all for the cell phone idea. Best yet wheel with another jeep that has a CB. You shouldn't go out alone anyway.

 

a lot of clubs won't let you run without a CB. but you may be able to pick one up cheap, and do both.

I will definitely do both, eventually, and I will definitely not wheel alone - I need someone to blame when I screw up.

I kinda forgot about the required equipment list wrt the CB. Hmmm. So many pluses and minuses. Can't decide. Going insane.

Anybody want to donate $300 - $400 for a really good cause?

 

When you get stuck somewhere, you're going to use your winch. When a friend gets stuck, you're going to use your winch. Get a winch - pick up a used CB on eBay or something when you have the extra $$$.

 

The Cobra cost about 90-100 dollars off eBay.. and the firestick etc. maybe about 50 bucks.. .. Or borrow Grandpap's CB...!!! God knows.. I have about 10 of them laying around here somewhere..!!!

Winch for sure. You can always get yourself out of a mess w/o ask your buddy. And Secondly when driving ppl say "look at that winch hes got"....never do i say damn check out that cb
