Default Would my buddy have to regear?

A buddy of mine was wondering if he could run 33x13.5 15 Toyo Open Country MT's with 3.21 gearing. My buddy's jeep is an unlimted 6 speed manual with 3.21 gears.

He'll be good. But he'll want 35's soon.

I have 35's 6th is useless, and fifth isn't going to climb any hills. Gearing basically makes 35's like a 5 speed. 33's should be TOOO bad.

I think it would be unpleasant, but depending on your friends tolerance and the terrain he'll be driving it, it might be acceptable to him with the 6-speed. What size tires does he have now and how does he feel the Jeep performs?

35's and 4.10's was ok but not happy on hills and 6th was almost useless.

I've got the 3.21 gears and 33"x12.5"x17". I'll re gear as soon as i get the money. It's tolerable but i never use 6th anymore.
