Is it worth the $

i like fab fours alote.. i had the rear bumper and i liked it.. but they are alote of money.. i think if i were you i would get something less money so you could get a bumper and something else.. or wait and find a used bumper. you can get great deals on used stuff

Shrockworks is agreat option. If they told you 2.5 months, I'm telling you it will be later than that. But I don't know of anyone that hasn't said the weight was worth it. Their quality is on another level from anything else I've used.

I spent that much for my Expedition One rear bumper so I can't really say it's rediculious. I like the Fab Fours bumper but it's pricey and doesn't really flow with the JK's lines.
I second the ARB recommendation (route I went). For $799 and free shipping it's almost a no brainer.

I can certainly relate to your impatience (waiting for a shipment myself) but dude, that's a lot of coinage for a bumper! ....for most of us anyway. Now, if you have Donald Trump kinda dough and it won't put a ding in your account, hell...go for it. I would!!

i voted no. you can get a great stubby / mid width for that price and a decent winch. spend your money elsewhere. but if u have the bread, then just do it and post pics! FF is a nice bumper...

Fab Fours
They are pricey, but I had an FF on my last rig.....I loved it and the craftsmanship was immaculate.
In my opinion if I am going to keep the vehicle for a while I would rather pay a bit more and buy something once and be done with it.

Ok, so the Fab Fours, it looks real nice but $1300?!?!?!? Way too much for a front bumper. Not sure what your needs are specifically, but look into some sort of stubby with a winch mount. IMO, stubbies are the best look on a lifted JK. Check out LoD, OR-Fab, Shrockworks, Hanson...if I had it to do over again, I would've gone with Hanson. Hanson also has a mid-width which looks great. you can buy a cheaper bumper and spend that money on more important mods.

I appreciate the honesty. Gave me a chance to manage the expenses better.
Turns out there was a $250 shipping surcharge from 4wd (all of a sudden) for the fab fours so once the price tag hit $1500, I said forget it. Like some already said... its only a bumper.
I regrouped and put a much better plan in action.
-Shrockworks mid-width winch bumper (Hope it doesn't take too long)
-MBRP "off road" Exhaust T-409 s/s in black
-Teraflex 2.5" coil lift with shock adapters
I ordered the bumper from the manufacturer, and the exhaust & lift from Northridge. (Thanks David)
GRAND TOTAL ---------> $1,500 (and a little bit of change)
Cant wait for my goodies to get here.
