Default Winter tires

So winter is coming up and I have a set of tires which needs replacing and I'm trying to figure out what to get next. I want to stay with a 285-75-16. But I want something that will be decent in the snow and have decent tread life as I have a 2010 with 75000 miles and I am the only owner. Keep in mind I bought my jeep in August 2010 so yes I drive a lot what would anyone recommend??

Goodyear Duratrac MTR Kevlar do come in the size you're looking for. I had them in my blazer before I bought my Jeep and they were great in the snow and some off road.

I agree with the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's. Excellent tire in the snow and is fairly quiet on the road considering the aggressive tread pattern. I have them in 285-70-17 and love them!

I had a set of 285/75/16 General Grabber AT2s on my 99 Grand Cherokee. They were better than the BFG AT(previous tire I had on there, same size) in every aspect and a lot cheaper. They were also the best snow tire I've ever driven on. They had more grip in the snow than the BFG AT and were as good if not better than the Michelin Blizzaks my dad had on his cherokee. I really can't recommend that tire enough. Also, last time I saw them they had about 15,000 miles on them and 80% tread left
