Window Tint!
Hey all.
So Im just curious if anyone has bothered to tint their windows?
Obviously with the top off all summer I wont bother to tint the back windows or anything that would be silly, but I am considering the side windows and windshield.
Comments? Suggestions?
Also, I live in Ontario, does anyone know legal tint limits?
Thanks!
JTee.

I live in MI just south of the border and while I don't know the legal limits in ON I can tell you I see ALOT of cars coming from ON with tinted side windows. Just check with the local P.D. They'll let you know for sure.

I'm planning to do my sides. I will try to match the factory tint on my hard top. I don't know about Canada but I think the front is not legal in any US state.

Waking up an old thread here. I want to tint my soft top windows as well.
I have no clue how to do it but I know I could figure it out.
Would it be possible to tint the soft top windows with a like film to a glass window

Soft top windows will be hard to tint IMO. I got both tops with tinted windows. In Alberta, I believe it is not permitted to tint the driver and passenger front windows. Ontario laws are similar, I think the popo has to be able to see your face from the side.

Thanks for the reply. If you couldn't tell I am in no way familiar with this topic but wanted to throw it out there. Looks like I might have to end up getting at another solution. My fronts are half doors so I just want to tint the rear and sides. I don't have a rear seat but keep a lot of stuff in their instead.

"For the driver’s compartment, right and left, no film can be installed that would substantially obscure visibility from the exterior. Behind the driver’s compartment, any film can be installed."
