Default Window Deflector - In Channel v Stick on

I am looking into getting a set of window deflectors. When i have the doors on I like to drive with the windows open or cracked all the time and the window deflectors will help keep the rain out. Let me know what you are running on your jeep and the pros/cons of either style.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

My stick-on ones work just fine. Ventshade I think they're called. Cost me like 60 bucks taxes in for all 4 from a local 4x4 parts supplier (vs $110 plus tax from the stealership), took me about 10 minutes total to put them all on (I even got them straight!), and I've ran through dozens of car washes with zero problems.

They all do the same job, and i've heard they both last just as long, so it just comes down to your own aesthetic preference.

I have to vote "stick-ons".
I've had a set from the dealership on my 94XJ from the day I bought it back in Feb. 94, and a set on the wifes 07 Jk since Oct.06. Never a problem with either set.

i have stick on and love them!! had in channels on my last vehicle and it took almost a year for the window to close properly after installing them..
the stick on ones also give u a tad bit more room when the window is just cracked open.. say to ash a cig.. for me they look better too.
i have AVS ones. love em

Another vote here for the stick on type, don't like the idea or the look of the in channel ones. I have the AVS vent visors and I love them. I don't think mopar sells the jeep branded vent visors anymore but check out AVS, Lund, Weathertech etc.

The in channel deflectors I have did not stick well and I ended up using some adhesive on them. Plus the windows get really tight when rolled all the way up. Like the look of them but not the fit.

I've got weathertech. I have got so many compliments on how clean looking they are compared to the stick on the outside kind. Good luck in choosing your vent shades.
