I am trying to decide on a winch. I am looking at the Warn 9500 TI, the Ramsey Patriot 9500 UT and the Warn M8000. I like the Ramsey and Warn TI becasue they are sealed and self contained (we get a lot of salt on the roads during the winter). The Ramsey is $200 less than the TI, and the M8000 is less than 1/2 the cost of the TI. The M8000 seems like a lot of winch for the money, but I worry if it will be enough or if I will regret not getting a sealed winch. I would love to hear what owners of these winches think.

 

I second the vote for a remote solenoid.

I love my 9.5ti, it's a workhorse and a speed daemon, but I do use the winch cover in winter.
