Default Winch Recommendations for Shockworks Mid Front Bumper

I am going to order the mid bumper from Shockworks. What bumper do you recommend that I purchase? I don't want to spend a lot because I won't use it too much (I don't think). What are the features of the bumpers that I should consider? Thanks.

I assume you meant to say:

I went with the Power Plant, because I wanted the compressor with the winch. However, that is by far not the cheapest winch. I'll let those that purchased a budget winch answer your question.

Smittybilt Winch - XRC8

It is slower than some of the more expensive winches but it has a 3 year warranty and you can find it for $285 shipped.

I have the shrockworks mid and initially wanted an inexpensive winch to use every once in a while.

Then I realized that no matter when I needed it I wanted it to work. I went with Warn because of their reputation. I spent more than I thought I wanted to, but am glad I did as I have piece of mind knowing that it'll be ready to go whenever I need it.

I went with the Warn Powerplant, because every time I go to the beach, the Ranger station pump is busted, and I have to drive a few miles to the gas station, wait in line, and feed in quarters to air back up.
I know there's other OBA solutions, but this is compact and simple. Plus, it has Warn's rep.

Thanks for the responses. It must have been a bad night, yes, I meant winches. I just don't want to pay $800-$1000 for a winch right now. So, I do appreciate the less expensive responses. Thank you.

Shockworks recommended the Warn M8000 for a winch that was not as pricey, but still a good one. It still costs $600. Any comments?

how many people have honestly had a winch fail during use... all i hear is people saying im gettin the warn because i want it to work always. I mean if you abuse the cheaper winch alot with repetitive use then Its obviously gonna break I'm just trying to get a perspective of how often the cheaper winches fail.

Does anyone have experience with this winch in the Shrockworks Mid? Does it fit right in no problems?

I have the bumper already, and want an inexpensive winch to drop in.
PM sent...

I'll be purchasing a Ramsey UT 9000 for shrockworks mid width whenever I can muster up the cash.
