If you search, you can get the Superwinch Epi9.0 for $513 shipped.

Give me a call, I can price out any winch, and currently I have 10% off and free shipping until the end of the month.

I saw a Warn 9.5ti on a Chevy 2500HD truck who pulled out his backhoe with it. That was enough assurance for me toi go ahead and purchase it.

If for some reason I would not have done a Warn, the Superwinch would have been my next choice. I've heard good things about their products. However, I am very happy with my winch; its everything I will ever need.

Man I love my Smittybilt XRC8. Pulled me out a few months ago with no problems. I was out wheeling by myself on the way back from work. I was stuck BAD! I was in mud up to the frame. I had not even tried my winch since I installed it over a year ago. Once I got stuck all I was thinking was " I got this $300 pos winch and it is going to burn up or not be able to pull me out, that is even if the stupid thing works at all." Well it worked without a flaw. My plan was to get this until I can afford a Warn, but I think I'll hold onto it for a while. Don't pass on the Smittybilt just because the price is cheap. It's a Milemarker in sheeps clothing.

Ummm...where at? Been searching for a while now...can't find it anywhere.

And... now that my focus has shifted to possibly spending a little more for reliability, what would be better...the Warn M8000 or the Superwinch EPi9.0??

And on a side note, if I decide to hold off and wait to get a Warn Powerplant...and I am warning, this might be a really stupid question...but would I be able to use the air compressor in it along with ARB lockers? Or would I still have to get the ARB compressor?
And...will I need an air tank as well?

My goal is this (for my next stage of my build) - have a reliable winch, get ARB locker front and rear, along with regearing, driveshafts, and axle reinforcement, and have on-board air enough to air up after the trails. I need input. Thanks to all who help

You would need a separate source of air for your ARB lockers.

If I was going to get a 8000 lb winch, I would definitely get a Warn M8000 (especially since they have come down in price.) If I had to buy a new winch for my Jeep, I would probably get a Superwinch EP9000i due to their reputation for quality and a decent price. Their warranty is better than Warn's, too. The only thing keeping me from a Warn XD9000i or 9.5ti is the price. Since I discovered that Warn no longer makes solenoids for my winch (old XD9000 with 3 pin remote) and there is a possibility I will need a new control box as well as a motor, I may soon be in the new winch market myself.

Is the 8000 lb not enough to winch out the JK??? I don't get these statements

But the Superwinch is enticing at $513... Looks pretty too.

I know the tow service used a 8500 Warn to pull my Dodge CTD out of the mud....They just put a snatch block & hook and strung the winch line
back to the winching truck...and placed a tow rope on the hook onto my bull bar. The tow truck owner stated that by doing this you actually now have 17,000lbs of pulling force.

I have the XRC-8 and it has pulled me out of some really bad stuff with no problems. I've also pulled out a Land Rover with 35's buried in mud over his axles with no problems.

An 8000 LB winch is plenty strong enough to pull out your 2DR and if you think you need more just add the snatch block.

And I have always sort of leaned towards Warn but wasn't sure if the bottom-of-the-barrel Warn is really better than some of the other companies better winches. Thanks for the help so far...

One last thing, at $285, would i be stupid not to get an XRC8??? To all those running it, how is it holding up? Is it waterproof?
Keep in mind that the XRCs now have a Lifetime warranty. I'm not sure what the limitations are on it, but it should make you more comfortable with that.
