Default Winch Connections

I just purchased a Smittybilt X20 winch and opened the box to check things out. I noticed that the leads that connect to the battery have very small terminals on them. As a matter of fact they look like they are supposed to connect to the bolts on the battery terminals you use to tighten to the posts. Has anyone cut the small terminals off and used something more substantial? I just find it hard to believe these small connections are enough for a full current load on them.

Ok, thanks. They just look so little to be able to handle so many amps in a hard pull.

I have the XRC8 and just used their supplied terminals. No issues and I've had to use my winch Many times.
