I did a quick search and did not find a suitable answer to my question...so here it goes.

I have 2dr with TF 2.5" BB 33"s on 16" wheels....I have loose steering as expected from the lift and bigger tires...My question is...Is a steering stablaizer worth it? What exactly will it do? What brand do you have/ suggest? What is the difficulty of the install? I have seen the RC dual stabalizer...what is the purpose of two?

i have a bds single stabalizer and it made a big difference for me. i have 35 " mud grapplers, i think a single stabalizer would help you out alote. i dont think your tires are big enough you would need a dual one. they are easy to install . good luck.

Define loose steering. What psi are you running?

while a steering stabilzer will "help" to hide loose or flighty steering, it will not fix it. if your suspension is dialed in correctly, you really don't need a steering stabilizer at all. adding more positive caster will help address your steering woes and i would address that first.

The steering seems to have a lot of "play" (hope that's the correct term)...I run 48 PSI.

I was just curious if the stabilzer would eliminate some this....

Try dropping that psi to around 30 and see how it works.

Maybe even lower.....do the chalk test. I run 27lbs. It will make a big difference and save you on filling replacements at the dentist too.

I'm running 28-31 with my 37's. JK's handling is not the best with higher psi.

Yep, I run my 35's at 28psi. 30psi should work pretty good for 33's.
