Default Will replacing stock wheels/tires with this rid my poor Jeep of that Anemic Look?

Stock '10 Sahara Unlimited

Been admiring all the great rigs on this site. Was walking across soccer field towards my Jeep in parking lot 100 yds away head on...it has quite the anemic look, tires look like a kid with skinny legs & knobby knees!

Bought 17x9 12mm offset (is that 4.75BS?) wheels, due to my heavy road driving putting on Duratracs. Will also put on TF 2.5" Coil/Shock lift later but not right away.

Question 1: Stock wheels (Bridge Dueler 255/70R18) listed as 32.1x10.2 inches. If I go the Duratrac 33" 285/70R17, they're listed as 32.8x11.5 inches. Will that be enough to rid my poor jeep of it's anemic look?

Question 2: I know the Duratrac 35" 315/70R17 (34.3x12.7) will give it a sturdy look, but am worried the extra width will be a bear on all the road driving I do. I have 3.73 gears, don't want to regear, though I could go new front/rear trackbars, front LCA's to accomodate, but it still might be a bear to drive on the road...

Thanks for bearing with a new guy to the Jeep world...

If you want a taller tire maybe look into an aggressive 33? One thing to consider is that just because a tire is listed at 32.8" doesnt mean it is. There is much variance in tire diameter compared to the advertised diameter in most cases. For example... I bought 315/70R17 kuhmo road venture MTs not too long ago listed at 34.6" when measured under load with a tape they are more like 33.75. Something to consider.

That being said... one tire I love love love is the dunlop Maxx Traction. It is listen as a mud tire but is more like a really aggressive all terrain. I would have bought these in the 35" flavor if they were in stock when i pulled the trigger. But they are a cheap sexy tire.

Also, you dont need a lift if you are going to run 33's. But many people on here run 33s with th e2.5" TF lift and it looks great! I ran 35s with flat fenders and no lift for a while... arent JKs grande?

Also, offset is different from backspacing... If you want to know your backspacing take a look on the manufacturers site.

I suggest you stongly consider 35s. I went with 33s for the same reason you listed, and I can't wait to get new tires so I can go up. I have 2.5 lift and 33 Mickey Thompson MTZs.

Look at my profile pic, 35's and they are MasterCraft Coursers. Thick and makes my Jeep look beefy
