Ok, tried a search on this but couldn't pull up anything (maybe I'm not trying the right words).

I am looking at getting the Rugged Ridge XHD rear bumper and also looking at adding a roof rack down the line. I have a soft top and am looking at either the Congo Cage or the Gobi. My question is: Will these roof racks work with the XHD rear bumper? This is a pretty big deciding factor in this purchase.

Also if it will work and anyone has some photos that would be great too. Thanks in advance.

I still haven't picked up my rack yet as I can't seem to get an answer to this question. I'm leaning more toward the Cargo Master since it is a whole lot less expensive than the GOBI and has a higher weight limit.

I wanna get a roof top tent for this summer so with the girl and I on top and the jeep a rockin' i want some strength in the rack.

I do want to get the XHD bumper down the line and this question is the only thing holding me back from purchasing the rack.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If there is a 1/4" or more gap between the jeep tub and the bumper you should be ok with the gobi. Not sure how the congo mounts, but I think it's about the same.

Gobi and XHD bumpers work fine. Been running setup for over a year and half.

Oh Can the soft top come down with the rack on ? does the rack pivot ?

Just an update on this guys. I installed the Kargo Master rack today and plan on buying a roof top tent for it in the next month or so. I got the rack for $316 shipped and for the money spent I am really happy with it. Is the Gobi a better rack, maybe, but the Gobi is also $1500 which is almost 5 times what I paid.

It fits perfectly fine with the Rugged Ridge XHD Bumper with tire carrier for those of you who may be curious.

I got mine from Oconee Off Road out of Georgia but it actually drop shipped from Camarillo. I was at my door in 3 days from ordering.
