Will 4.10 Gears from a dana44 front end fit in a Dana30?
This is not my first jeep but this is the first time I have had a budget to make any upgrades. I guess that makes me a nube. I have a 2013 unlimited sport. I know I have 3.21 gears in it. I found a guy that has a set of 4.10 gears out of a Rubicon. If I understand it correctly I shouldn't have any problems with the rear but will the gears fit in the front Dif? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Dana 30 uses a 7 1/8" ring gear
Dana 44 uses an 8 1/2" ring gear
Dana 60 uses a 9 3/4" ring gear
Dana 70 uses a 10 1/2" ring gear
The gear ratio, in this case 4.10, is the number of teeth on the ring gear divided by the number on the pinion. Rubis have front and rear dana 44's where as the rest of us have Dana 30s and axle envy!

Thanks for the quick answers guys. If all goes well I'm putting a 2" spacer lift and 33" tires on this weekend. Hopefully It won't feel to sluggish with the larger wheels and my 3.21 gears, but I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Also just an afterthought. Will a 33" tire fit on the stock spare tire holder or am I going to have to upgrade my back bumper sooner rather than later?

I have 33's with 4.5" of back spacing. Fits perfect. Also 3.21 gears. Not sluggish at all. However when I upgrade further to 35"s I plan to go to 4.1 gears, new front drive shaft and gussets. I'm timing the wife Argo for the next upgrade.
