Just like the title says, will when will we ever see a tuner for our 2011 JK's? I'm sure now will be put on the back burner with the 2012 having the power plant, impatiently waiting for a tuner. Have been wanting to pick-up the bullydog gt tuner ever since I bought my Jeep in June. Ok done venting, but would like to hear some good news of at least it actually coming and not just to make me feel warm and fuzzy when they say and actually mean it lol.

I'm with you. I bought by 2011 back in March and have been waiting patiently ever since. Starting to give up hope now. From reading various posts on the subject, it looks like Chrysler really locked out the chip tuners this time. I'm no expert on the subject but from casual reading; that's what it looks like.

Well from what I hear the 2012s are the same rolling encryption.....so crack one and crack them all. Then again that could be a bunch of bull too. I just wish we could get a solid yes or no!

Latest from the SuperChips forum Dec 8th.... " At this point there is no ETA on the 2011 or newer Jeep product due to the extensive reverse engineering required to crack the ECU code containing the new state-of-the-art encryption."

As a new jeep owner who just went ahead and regeared a 2011 JKU because of the 37's I'm not sold on needing one.
My jeep drives just fine with 5.13 and 37's. Unless I could drive a similar jeep setup with a tuner I'm not sure I'd waste the money.
Tuner doesn't replace regearing in my opinion.

I just had a conversation about tuners with the guys in the 4wd parts here in Vegas (here for new years
) and was comparing the superchips and bullydawg.. He says for performance purposes, they are not worth the money. Great for TMPS, monitoring temps etc, but re-gear is the way to go, especially if you've got a manual Trans...
