Default Wife needs step for the new lift, so I improvised

After I lifted the Jeep, my wife complained about it being harder to get in. My solution was to improvise

I had a set of tube steps that I got cheap, but they were for 2007 JK and the mounting points for those changed in 2009. Wasted money.... or maybe not.

A month after I bought the tubes, I found a set of Rubi rails for cheap. Stripped, painted and installed them. The other day, after the wife's remarks, I was looking at those tubes and wondered......

Yep. Cut off the ends and shaped them to fit. Welded them to the Rubi Rails. Now I have some extra protection AND steps for the wife.

They hold my weight, but I think I will add a couple of braces underneath anyway, just to be safe.

Looks good man, just don't slip up and say your adding extra braces for weight when it holds you just fine. She'll be all over you. When I added my mopar enhanced rails I made the mistake of tellin my wife, "Look , These will hold a ton of weight and protect the sides" Her reply" So your sayin I need to lose weight?" You can't win
