I have 13.50's with 3 in of lift. The only off-roading I've done is beach and playing in snow. I have had no issue what so ever with rubbing. I also have had them mounted on 2 sets of 9 in wide wheels, rockstars and american eagle 197's. Here are some pics-
Good Luck with your decision.

Thats a good looking jeep JKJosh. I like how your license plate is black (or at least it looks all black) is that your states plates color or did you do that to it?

Its funny you ask. In DE, certain # plates you can get black made up, as a historic thing. You can either get black plate with white numbers, or black with stainless numbers. They also are worth $. The one on my jeep is worth approx $2500. One on my beater is worth prob $750, and wifes car $500. I think DE is the only state(that I know of) with something like this, and it is politician driven, so it will prob never change.
This is what black with white #'s looks like(beater truck tag)-

No rubbing at all so far no matter what I am doing. Took it off road today and had no problems with anything at all. Tracks good and was unstoppable in the mud pit. (Had to pull out my buddies Tacoma).

I'm running 40x15.50 tires on 20x9 wheels with 4.53" of backspacing and a -12 offset. I rub on the front upper control arms when turning at full steering wheel lock. The Mud Grapplers have gnarly tread on the sidewalls that extend 3-4" in down the sidewall itself (at least on my size tires). When you look at them, they look they will make contact with everything around them but they never do.

did they rub at full lock only? or did they rub when you went off road only? if im correct there was a thread i read once that claimed wider tires rubbed on older 07 models because of design differences from newer models.......

i have 14.5 SSRs and i dont think i could go smaller than a 10 inch wheel. a 9 inch wheel just seems a little small for a 14.5 inch tire. although jptwinz is running 15.5 on 9 inch wheels with no problem. so its hard to decide what would be wise

thats actually a good picture for me. I have a white 4 door and it gives me an idea of what it will look like with wide tires. my tires are a little smaller 33.5, but its a pretty good comparison. Thanks for the pic emetal. Nice wht 4dr by the way
