Wide steel fender flares
I'm looking for strong steel flares that would cover completely my wheels to be street legal. That would mean around 2" wider than stock.
Anyone knows a company that would sell those?

Most of the aftermarket steel tube fenders are narrower or the same as stock width fenders. You may have to call the MFG directly to see if they can even make a wider version. It's not a high demand product, so be prepared to pay some serious $$$$$....

There are so many aftermarket parts for the JK... I can't believe no one has ever done those!
My guess is that there is a market for those as most people use their Jeep, like me, as daily driver and want to stay street legal.

My guess is that the wider you go with steel flares, the heavier and more complex they will be. With the thin sheetmetal of the JK, putting heavy, wide metal flares will cause the sheet metal to buckle with the slightest impact. With a narrow fender, they can be made stronger, and out of the way of impact, the tire will take the brunt of the hit first.
