Why you do the work yourself
So my A/C has been out for a bit and finally had time to get it into the shop to have it looked at. Come to find out that when the new bumper was installed, the washer fluid motor was relocated (zip tied) to the frame which rubbed a hole in the condenser. So guess who gets to pay for a new condenser... not me. But I will be without the merc for a day while they fix that, change the oil, and detail it. We'll see what else I can milk out of them for the trouble shoddy work has caused me.

Why do I do my own work?
Because....
When I got my JK back from a warranty gas tank change, it didn't run well because they put water-contaminated gasoline in the new tank.
When I got it back after the new tank was removed, washed out, reinstalled, and filled with clean gasoline, I discovered, after hearing a clunking sound from the back, they had not tightened the forward bolt on the right rear lower control arm.
Once I got the JK home and started an oil change, I noticed the safety clip on the fuel line at the fuel rail was off and hanging by its tether.

Why I do my own work:
- I learn something new with every project/fix
- I enjoy working on MY jeep
- I take pride in the things I paid for and built
- so I know how the work was done, and done how I want it.
BUILT. NOT BOUGHT.
