Not only the cosmetic piece, but is messes with linkage on the steering, shifters and other lines. If you have a manual like I do, it lowers the shifter and increases throw you see when shift becuase it is higher on the stick - very annoying.

ok. so i have a 2.5 inch lift... and i just put on a 1.25" body lift to add clearance for my 33" tires when i disconnect and im off roading. thats the only reason i added the body lift.. because its in my current budget... i dont want to hack my current fenders, and flat fenders are a bit more pricey. now.. thats to run 33s. imo 37s are a whole different animal. i would assume that if you are going to put on 37s.. youre going to off road it. If i was going to put 37s on a vehicle i would certainly not skimp on the lift. on top of that.. and i didnt look at what model jeep you have, but i hope you dont have just a dana 30 as your front axle. youre going to have more issues if you do. everyone always wants to go bigger but dont ever take other issues into consideration from it.
also.. as far as the gap.. i know the rough country body kit comes with a shifter adapter for manuals that have the falling out of gear problems.. and also the bumper relocation bracket that eliminates that unsightly gap.
