Why it's important to do it yourself - pics
I was going to post this sooner - but haven't had time.
I was in the middle of tax season and had little time to do stuff myself, so I took my Jeep to a local guy I know very well (at least I thought I did!) to install 3/4" spacers in the front.
The Jeep looked great when I saw i from afar and I took it home since it was late and dark when I picked it up. I got home, got a flashlight and looked underneath and saw this!
The driver's side was fine.
Since I didn't have a 12mm - 1.50 pitch nut in my arsenal of hardware, I had to wait for the next day and go to my local Ace hardware and purchased 2 new nuts and washers and averted a crisis. I immediately went to the local guy the next day and showed them the pics - they refunded my money ($75), but lost any future business and any referrals.
I don't think the top bushing is damaged, but we'll see how it holds up. It's been fine so far and it's been about a month and a wheeling trip to URE.
For those of you that noticed, yes, I used blue lock tite on the new nuts since I won't be taking them off due to the elec. disco.
I also changed the nut on the driver's side to be safe.
Lesson learned. NEVER, EVER have someone else touch your rig!

Sorry to see that happen to you. That is just bull and total lack of attention to detail... Ya know, like putting a nut back on that holds one whole side of your front suspension!!

It's things like this that caused me to start wrenching myself on my jeep , I had taken my jeep in for one of those free oil changes by the dealership and they left the fill cap off and it was stuck by my airfilter. Ever since then it's been me only for anything on my jeep.

I have actually done this myself. I have extended front sway links and made this same mistake, but it didn't look so bad because they are longer. I doubt your bushings were affected, but I'm really surprised he didn't even bother to install the nut. Can't blame you a bit for your reaction; I'd do the same if I paid to have it done and was delivered as shown.
