That you can't use a RFE545 or the new 3.6 tranny with a 3.8?

I mean what exactly are the technial reasons? Have we finally gotten to the point where you can't swap parts around?

Isn't the auto paired with the 3.6 the Chrysler NAG1? (I forget what the Mercedes model # is but they're the same unit).

I'd imagine the bellhousing and input shafts are completely different, for starters.

If this is something you are trying to make work then I would sugest that you give Advanced Adapters a call. Worst case they can give you a straight answer quickly, best case they will have a solution for you already figured out.

Everything I've heard before this is the computer end is the non-starter. You don't even get to bellhousing/shaft issues.
