Default Whos running a throttle body spacer?

Found a few online (silver bullet, airaid and rugged ridge) there is a dramatic price difference between the few. Are they really worth it? What do you get for performance gains? Does it alter the engine and intake noise? Also, any pics of them installed?

I have the Silver Bullet, and I haven't been impressed with it at all... Probably the biggest waste of money I've spent so far. No noticeable performance gains, but at least I didn't get the whistle that some do! Save your money and get a different mod!

I currently have the AEM Brute Force CAI, Firepower Screamin' Demon Coil, Live Wires, Ngk Ix Iridium Spark Plugs, Superchips Flashpaq, MBRP Exhaust, and the Silver Bullet. My Jeep is an automatic with 35" tires.

The easiest way to look at this is..... If you could add let's say even 1 horse power and or torque and our mile per gallon with anything costing less then $2.20 to manufacture and that part did not harm a vehicles reliability, don't you think Jeep, Ford, General motors etc etc etc would have these on every vehicle?

Good point! I wish it only cost $2.20 to purchase... that way I wouldn't be out so much money!

I don't think this is ever a valid way to look at after market parts. Chrysler's primary motivation is profit. They are selling around 100,000 JKs annually, and whatever they do needs to result in additional sales. So an additional $2 per vehicle expense needs to produce at minimum an additional $200k in profit. So this little largely undetectable part needs to produce a couple hundred additional sales or more to make it worthy.

So while I don't think a throttle body spacer is a worthy product, there are plenty of others that are that wouldn't add a dime to the manufacturers bottom line.
