Anyone with a 2012 running 35's with the 3.73 gears? Maybe the added horse power makes it more livable?
Sick that I'm even asking since I have about 1000 miles on my BFG 33's...

I HAVE ZERO PLANS ON REGEARING!
The new motor handles the tires incredibly!!
I find myself having to go easy on the skinny pedal when wheeling. The 3.6 will spin them in dirt of all kinds. I have the Mickey Thompson baja m/t radials.
I can chirp the 35's if I stomp on it from a stop.
Those 3.73's will be slightly better than what I have so don't worry.
I expected a severe loss of power but it didn't happen.

That's what i have. 4.5" procomp lift, 35x12.5 mickey Thompson mtz , auto and 3.73 gears. I love it! I just turn off overdrive around town or if important doing 80 and need to passed someone to big to drive over. Nothing negative to say. Except definitely need to take a few minutes to install an auxiliary oil cooler. Because otherwise its like driving a blast furnace around from the heat generated by the damn torque converter.

I had a 4" Pro-Comp short arm, with 35" GY/K on 3.73's on my 07 and never had any issues. I did buy a flashpaq and adjusted the tire size and shift points, so that definitly helped. I wheeled the hell out of it all the time, in Hawaii and never once had any issues with the transmission.

I have only been running mine for about 8 , months now with no problems. I just added a Superchips Flashpaq and that really helped with the transmission but it seemed to be fine before that.

This all sounds great, I thought for sure someone would jump on this post and say they blew up their tranny or something. Looks like I may do the tires and lift and then re-gear down the road...just have to save up now! Thanks for all the posts.

I've been running 35's for about 2 months now on my 2011 2 door auto with 3.73 gears. I was concerned as well because of not being able to use the programmers on the 2011 and later models although I did use the procal to set the shift points and calibrate the speedo. I was averaging around 21 mpg before and now I'm averaging around 18 mpg so not to bad of a drop in mpg. This is my DD and I drive 80 miles a day to work and back (95% highway), I'm able to run with the OD on with no issues of constant shifting while I drive at 65 - 70 mph. I do notice that if I tried to stay at 55 - 60 mph that I probaby would see a lot of tranny shifting

Really want to put a lift and 35's on and regear down the road. I keep hearing you can't because your tranny will cook and some say it's fine as long as you don't wheel the hell out of it and turn off O/D. So that being said please post if you have 3.73's and 35's. The good, bad and ugly of it all. Thanks
4.5" BDS LIFT, 35" Mickey's, 3.73 gears.
I hardly ever drive it, but have had no problems since lift and tires 8 months ago.

2011 3.8 auto, 3.5 lift and 35 duratracs. No real issues other than lack of highway power. Around town its fine and pulls decent with my bolt ons/tuner. 5.13s are going in soon! Play it as yiu need it. I let my gears slide and it hasnt really bothered me much. Its not a big deal to do them right away
